In Brief: Camarillo's Nine-Month Profits Up 186%

CAMARILLO, Calif. - Camarillo Community Bank earned $732,256, a 186% increase from a year earlier.

The $74 million-asset community bank grew 7.2% in the last year, a time when many small banks are finding growth hard-going in California's sluggish economy.

Bank officials said Camarillo's high credit quality and low overhead costs are behind the bank's earnings growth.
