In Brief: CIBC Hires Senior VP Of American Exchange

CIBC World Markets, a unit of Toronto's Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, has hired Ellen B. Marshall as a managing director in its credit capital markets group focusing on structuring.

She will be based in New York and report to Richard Hassard and William Phoenix, co-heads of the credit capital markets group.

Ms. Marshall joins the bank from the American Stock Exchange, where she was a senior vice president in its marketing sales and institutional client group. Before joining the exchange last year, she was a senior vice president at Boston-based Fleet Bank.

Separately, CIBC Oppenheimer, the bank's U.S. investment banking subsidiary, has hired Henry Sandlass as a managing director in its asset securitization group. He will be responsible for new product development and will report to Ken Wormser, co-head of asset securitization.

An 18-year veteran of Citicorp, Mr. Sandlass was most recently its vice president of U.S. securitization.
