AUSTIN, Tex. - Cybercorp Inc. has made hands-free audio chat rooms available to customers.
During market hours, one audio chat room links together traders using the Cybertrader or CyberX online trading platforms. Participating traders can talk about the market action of the day, without using their keyboards for anything other than trading and managing their portfolios.
A second chat session after market hours features Cybercorp.com's full range of training sessions, from getting started trading online to trading in fast markets, the company said Wednesday. Customers can download the necessary software at no charge, a spokesman said.
Founded in December 1995, Cybercorp became a subsidiary of Charles Schwab Corp. on March 1. Cybercorp is a top 10 online brokerage firm, according to a first quarter study by U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray Inc. It averaged over 32,000 trades per trade day in April and has about 5,200 active accounts, the spokesman said.
