Dresdner Bank Group has named George Handjinicolaou executive vice president and head of global markets for the Americas at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.

He will be based in New York, reporting to T.J. Lim, Erich Pohl, and Heinrich Linz, all of whom supervise the global market division of Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. He also will report to George N. Fugelsang, chief executive for North American operations there.

Mr. Handjinicolaou most recently was managing director and head of fixed-income derivatives for the Americas at Union Bank of Switzerland. He succeeds Baudouin Croonenberghs, who was appointed chief executive of the Asia-Pacific region for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.
