In Brief: E-Loan Registers 38M Shares in SEC Filing

WASHINGTON - E-Loan Inc. has registered 38 million common shares on behalf of shareholders, according to a statement filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said that 31,420,085 of the shares were acquired through various private placements and from several other shareholders, and that 6.6 million shares are issuable upon exercise of warrants acquired by the selling security holder in connection with an April 25 marketing agreement.

Charles Schwab Corp. is registering 9,266,666 shares, according to the statement. Daniel Leemon, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of Schwab, is an E-Loan director.

The online lending company also registered 971,607 shares for Yahoo Inc., according to the statement. Yahoo chief executive and chairman Timothy Koogle is also an E-Loan director.
