In Brief: ECharge Picks Another Citi Veteran as CFO

SEATTLE - The online payments company ECharge Corp., which says it is striving to build an acceptance mark equal to Visa and MasterCard, has promoted Douglas Fletcher to chief financial officer.

Mr. Fletcher, one of several ECharge executives recruited from Citigroup Inc., joined the company this year as vice president of finance. He had spent 13 years at Citi, most recently as managing director and general manager of the leasing division for the global equipment finance group in New York.

Mark Tremont, who had been chief financial officer of ECharge, remains its chief operating officer and chairman of ECharge Bank, a subsidiary that offers credit for online purchases.

Truett Tate, president and chief executive officer of ECharge, is also a Citigroup veteran.
