WASHINGTON --The assets of exchange-traded funds rose 3.8% in June from a month earlier, to $75.56 billion, the Investment Company Institute said.
The number of funds was unchanged at 85. Assets in broad-based domestic funds climbed 5%, to $66.92 billion, while those in domestic sector funds fell 3.8%, to $6.72 billion.
The mutual fund industry trade group also said $3.4 billion of net new shares were issued last month, compared with net redemptions of $248 million in May. The report was issued Tuesday.
