FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick Underwriters Inc., a subsidiary of FCNB Corp., has bought the Central Maryland Insurance Group agency for an undisclosed amount.
Central Maryland president John Barth will be an adviser to Frederick Underwriters, and all other employees of the Pikesville, Md., agency are to join the acquiring company. FCNB, a commercial banking company, offers property, casualty, and personal insurance products through Frederick Underwriters. It has branches in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington.
