In Brief: First Internet Bank Fills Two Top Posts

INDIANAPOLIS - First Internet Bank of Indiana announced Tuesday that it has hired David R. Lovejoy as president and chief operating officer and Jeffrey K. Harty as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Mr. Lovejoy was vice chairman of financial markets and corporate development at Mellon Bank Corp. of Pittsburgh, which he left June 1. He was responsible for capital markets, venture capital, securities lending, and corporate and international banking. He has been an First Internet Bank director since last July.

Mr. Harty was chief financial officer and a partner of Monument Advisors Inc., an Indianapolis merchant bank whose financial operations he oversaw.

Their hiring raised First Internet's staff to 20 full-time employees and ended a six-month recruiting effort that also brought more managers into the operations and lending areas, the bank said.
