In Brief: Four Promoted in Fleet Realty Finance Unit

Fleet Financial Group promoted several executives in its real estate finance group this week.

The Boston-based banking company named Christopher J. Thomas division manager for the group, responsible for new business development for real estate investment trusts, portfolio finance, pension lending, and single- family home building.

Previously, Mr. Thomas was an executive vice president in Fleet's other real estate-owned division.

Fleet also named Susan M. Wolkoff senior vice president, responsible for managing the bank's $1.7 billion real estate portfolio for the Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine region. Ms. Wolkoff had been managing Fleet's $500 million Massachusetts portfolio.

Also in Fleet's real estate group, Kathleen M. Randall and Ronald Lubin were named division managers.

Ms. Randall will oversee a team of national lenders, while Mr. Lubin will run the bank's national shopping center lending group.

The executives will report to Kenneth Witkin, head of commercial real estate finance at Fleet.
