In Brief: Freddie Promotes 2 In Asset Management

Freddie Mac has appointed Nazir Dossani to senior vice president of asset-liability management and research in its corporate finance division and Daryl Hall as vice president of multifamily asset management.

Mr. Dossani, in his newly created position, will formulate and implement the company's interest rate risk-management strategies and head fixed- income research and financial engineering, which entails developing prepayment, interest rate, and portfolio optimization models.

Mr. Dossani, who joined Freddie in 1993, was previously vice president of asset-liability management.

Mr. Hall will be responsible for credit quality of $10 billion of debt and equity in Freddie's multifamily portfolio. Mr. Hall also will manage performing loans, asset resolution, and the company's $900 million of low- income housing tax credit investments.

Mr. Hall has been interim vice president and regional director for Multifamily Asset Management.
