In Brief: Freddie to Offer Three-Year Note

MCLEAN, Va. —Freddie Mac plans this week to float a new $5 billion to $6 billion three-year reference note issue due Nov. 15, 2003.

The issue will be priced today for settlement on Friday. The lead underwriters are ABN Amro, Lehman Brothers, and Merrill Lynch. The issue will be listed on the Luxembourg exchange.

Excluding this week’s issue, Freddie Mac has $117.50 billion in outstanding reference notes and bonds.
