In Brief: FULLeCom in Deal<@SM> With First of Omaha

ONTARIO, Calif. — FULLeCom Inc. and First of Omaha Merchant Processing have agreed to offer each other’s services to the companies’ Internet merchant-clients.

FULLeCOM provides order fulfillment and mailing services, call center operations, and Web development to online merchants. It has nine salespeople in the United States and 15 in Europe.

Among FULLeCOM and First of Omaha’s new offerings is the waiving of First Omaha’s connection fee for merchants that buy a complete set of processing services, including its real-time check clearing service.

First of Omaha, a division of First National Bank of Omaha, said it had been looking for a way to provide more services to new Web merchants.

“If I were in business today, I’m not sure I’d want to go through all the headaches of figuring out how to do my inventory and information processing,” said Michael J. Dunnetts, vice president of product development at First of Omaha Merchant Processing. “I’d rather worry about the business instead of the back-end piece of it.”
