In Brief: Ga. Data Processor Out From Regulatory Cloud

WASHINGTON - Federal regulators on Thursday lifted a year-2000 order they imposed Aug. 26 on Global Payment Systems LLC, an Atlanta-based data processor.

The order had singled out the company's Westlake, Ohio, division for failing to meet "milestone dates" and other year-2000 guidelines established by bank and thrift regulators.

An agency press release said the order was terminated because Global had "complied with the terms of the agreement." No other details were provided.
