Glacier Bancorp of Kalispell, Mont., said it would buy two branches in Butte, Mont., from Washington Mutual Inc. for an undisclosed price.

Seattle-based Washington Mutual said it is selling the branches because of its limited presence in Montana.

Glacier, with $734 million of assets and 25 offices in Montana, would pick up an additional $80 million of deposits in its home state.

The sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
