HARTFORD, Conn. - Hartford Financial Services Group has appointed Gary E. Mathewson vice president and West Coast operations manager for Hartford Specialty, which addresses the risk management needs of large companies and those with multiple exposures.
Mr. Mathewson was West Coast managing executive for Kemper Insurance. He will be based in Los Angeles and be responsible for Hartford Specialty's product offerings, including those provided by the risk management division, specialty casualty operations, First State Insurance Services, and the company's third-party administrator, Specialty Risk Services.
