In Brief: HomeAdvisor Top Traffic Generator

REDMOND, Wash. - Microsoft Corp. announced that HomeAdvisor, part of its MSN Network, was the most visited home and real estate Web site in March.

Citing figures released last week by Media Metrix Inc., Microsoft said HomeAdvisor had 3.6 million unique users, followed by Realtor.com with 3.3 million and HomeStore with 3.25 million.

Microsoft said that because of the increase in consumer traffic, HomeAdvisor has signed new listing agreements with real estate companies and has more than a million homes for sale online.

HomeAdvisor was spun off as a separate company last spring, but Microsoft abandoned the effort earlier this year.

Its partners included J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and Freddie Mac.
