In Brief: Hudson United Has New Finance Chief

Hudson United Bancorp of Mahwah, N.J., has hired Nicholas G. Hahn as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Mr. Hahn assumed the post at $7 billion-asset Hudson United Sept. 5. He had been comptroller and senior vice president in charge of corporate accounting and financial reporting at Cobank of Denver.

He succeeded Chris McFadden, who had been Hudson's interim CFO but left to pursue other interests, the company said.

Ms. McFadden had succeeded Joseph F. Hurley in March. Mr. Hurley left after the collapse of Hudson's planned merger with Dime Bancorp of New York; he is now CFO of $862 million-asset Lakeland Bancorp of Oak Ridge, N.J.
