In Brief: ING Appoints CEO for Institutional Unit

NEW YORK — ING Group named Edmund Hajim chairman and chief executive officer of its institutional investment management subsidiary Tuesday.

ING Aeltus Investment Management was created last week when ING Group merged its Aeltus Investment Management and ING Furman Selz Asset Management units. The combined operation manages more than $60 billion of assets for U.S. institutions and high-net-worth individuals.

Mr. Hajim was chairman and CEO of ING Furman Selz Asset Management and co-chairman of the Americas region of ING Barings since July 1998.
