In Brief: ING Unit Launches Senior Loan Fund

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — ING Pilgrim Investments has started an income fund to invest in senior corporate loans that are not typically available to individual investors.

The investment management arm of the Dutch financial company ING Group NV has $4 billion of senior loans under management, but this is the unit’s first fund to make such loans available to individual investors.

The Pilgrim Senior Income Fund makes loans to U.S. companies as a member of loan syndicates typically led by large banks and other financial institutions.
