SACRAMENTO, Calif. - InsWeb Corp. has announced the purchase of 2,241,440 shares of its own common stock - 1,169,898 shares from Intuit Insurance Services Inc. and 1,071,542 shares from Softbank America Inc.
The shares were bought for $3.8 million, or $1.70 per share, the company said last Wednesday. With the closing of these transactions, Softbank's holdings of InsWeb common stock fell to 353,032 shares and Intuit's to zero.
After the transactions, InsWeb has 4,705,104 shares of common stock outstanding.
