Civil rights leader Jesse L. Jackson said Wednesday that lawmakers should reject the financial reform bill unless provisions curtailing the Community Reinvestment Act are dropped.

"I view the preservation and expansion of the CRA as a moral issue," Mr. Jackson said. "I view those who would undermine it as standing in a long line of politicians who are on the wrong side of history."
