In brief: J.P. Morgan to Advise Banks on $1.6B Loan

United Kingdom have named J.P. Morgan & Co. as an adviser to a consortium of banks making a $1.6 billion loan for a power project in East Java, Indonesia. The lead managers for the deal are Credit Suisse, Dresdner Bank AG, Sanwa Bank, and Toronto Dominion Bank, J.P. Morgan said in a statement. Financing for the 1,220 megawatt coal-fired plant will come from Hermes Kreditversilcherungs AG, the U.S. Export-Import Bank, and commercial lenders. Morgan said the deal will include a private placement of senior notes.
