In Brief: J.P. Morgan's Private-Client Web Service

NEW YORK - J.P. Morgan & Co. announced an updated version Wednesday of Morgan OnLine, its Internet service for private banking customers that was formally introduced this year.

The updating includes customized recommendations on stocks, bonds, and mutual funds based on a portfolio profile for each customer that it automatically updates. It also includes a function that measures investment risks and a function that analyzes a customer's fixed income holdings.

Morgan also said it has added the ability for customers to share their financial data with their professional advisers, such as their attorney or accountant, by giving these advisers reading and writing access to their information on the site.
