In Brief: JPM-Chase, Merrill to Use Cygnify Tool

NEW YORK — J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and Merrill Lynch & Co. have signed agreements to use Cygnify’s online risk management resource, Trinity.

Trinity provides access to research and analysis that can help companies manage the legal risks of collateralizing derivatives. It covers 50 jurisdictions worldwide.

“We expect Trinity to be an effective means of gathering legal research covering our collateral program,” said Locke McMurray, director and senior counsel at Merrill Lynch.

Cygnify was spun off by J.P. Morgan last February.
