Keystone Financial Inc. completed a $78 million securitization and private placement of indirect auto loans secured by cars and light trucks.

The company issued two series of certificates through Bear, Stearns & Co.

The securitization of the loans will free up funds for the $5 billion- asset company, which hopes to get economies of scale by increasing loan volume and keeping costs down, said president and chief executive Carl L. Campbell.
