SAN FRANCISCO - The Mortgage Bankers Association and the U.S. Conference of Mayors held their fourth and final housing and economic development policy roundtables Thursday.

The chairmen for the meeting here were San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown and MBA president-elect James M. Murphy, chairman and chief executive officer of New England Realty Resources Inc., in Boston.

The mortgage bankers group and the mayors conference have been holding the roundtables to discuss urban homeownership with local policymakers and financial services institutions.

The partners say they plan to compile the ideas generated by the meetings into a series of administrative and legal recommendations to be presented to the new President and Congress in January.
