In Brief: MyCFO Advisory Unit Attracts 75 Clients

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — MyCFO Inc., an Internet wealth advisory firm for high-net-worth individuals, said Wednesday that its investment advisory service had signed up 75 clients representing $12 billion of net worth in its first six months of operation.

The service offers fee-based financial management, including investment diversification, tax minimization, inheritance planning, and philanthropic advice.

The firm, which was started in May 1999 by Netscape founder Jim Clark, also said client roster grew 12.7% from mid-November, to 310, representing $44 billion of net worth.

MyCFO’s wealth planning and management services include income-tax planning and compliance, estate and trust, risk management and insurance, philanthropy, and expense management, and financial reporting.
