In Brief: NationsBank Texas Issues $300M of Notes

NEW YORK - NationsBank of Texas issued $300 million in senior bank notes, due Aug. 15, 2000.

The notes carried a coupon of 6.75% at 99.685, to yield 6.825%.

The notes were priced at 47 basis points above Treasuries.

Rated A1 by Moody's Investors Service Inc. and A-plus by Standard & Poor's Ratings Group, the issue will be sold through underwriters led by NationsBanc Capital Markets Inc.

Delivery is scheduled for Aug. 21.
