NetSpend Corp. of Austin, a marketer of prepaid debit cards, has teamed up with Virgin Mobile USA LLC to offer such cards to teenagers.
Inter National Bank of McAllen, Tex., will issue the reloadable Stash cards, which reward use with free airtime on Virgin Mobile's wireless phones. The Warren, N.J., carrier, a joint venture between the British mogul Richard Branson's Virgin Group and Sprint Nextel, was created in 2002 to cater to young people. The Stash card was announced Monday.
