In Brief: New KeyCorp Fund for Rich Investors

CLEVELAND — KeyCorp has introduced Table Pounders, a concentrated portfolio of investments for high-net-worth customers.

The fund, which was announced Thursday, invests in up to 20 securities deemed by KeyCorp’s investment management research team to be “the best of the best” stocks available, the company said.

“These are the ideas that our analysts feel so strongly about that they pound the table with their fists saying, ‘You’ve got to buy it,’ ” said Richard J. Buoncore, chief executive of Key Asset Management, in a statement.

The fund requires a minimum investment of $250,000. Because concentrated portfolios are relatively risky, investors also must have $750,000 of assets under management at KeyCorp or a net worth of more than $1.5 million to enroll.
