CHICAGO - Northern Trust Retirement Consulting will upgrade its Web site for 401k and pension plan customers with help from a Chicago e-finance firm.
Business Logic will also join the Northern Trust Corp. unit in managing the Retirement Passport site.
After the upgrade, scheduled for November or December, clients will be able to use the site to direct their brokerage accounts and analyze their assets.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
The banking-as-a-service middleware provider will be acquired by TabaPay. Other middleware providers may be forced to evolve or face the same fate.
