COLUMBUS, Ga. - Total System Services Inc. said it has agreed with pointpathbank, an online bank owned by Synovus Financial Corp., to offer stored value gift cards, a new pointpath product.
The Visa-branded prepaid cards will be processed on Total System's new stored value platform, and mark the company's entry into the card association-branded gift card market.
Pointpath, which already offers credit and debit cards with Total System, said it will offer other types of stored value cards, such as insurance, loyalty, and employment, in the future.
Consumers can now purchase pointpath gift cards online, in any dollar denomination from $20 to $500 that can be used anywhere Visa is accepted.
