In Brief: Payment Entities Name Top Officers

WATERLOO, Belgium - The board of directors at Europay International, the European payments association affiliated with MasterCard International, has elected as its new chairman Jean-Pierre Ledru, senior executive vice president at the French bank Caisse Nationale du Credit Agricole.

Mr. Ledru will take the post in June and succeed Kurt Richolt, who has been Europay's chairman since December 1993.

In a separate announcement, Maestro International, the global payments business jointly owned by MasterCard and Europay, said its board has named a new chief executive officer. Ann Camarillo, who succeeds Francis van den Bosch, was senior vice president in the customer group at MasterCard, where her duties included managing relationships with some of MasterCard's largest member banks.
