In Brief: PennRock Buying National Advisory

BLUE BALL, PA. — PennRock Financial Services Corp., the $900 million-asset parent of Blue Ball National Bank, said Thursday it had signed an agreement to acquire National Advisory Group of Dresher, Pa., for an undisclosed sum.

National Advisory Group, which has $150 million in assets under management, is the parent company of National Actuarial Consultants, National Financial Advisors, NFA Brokerage Services and National Shareholder Services.

The deal, which is expected to close this quarter, would be PennRock’s first financial services acquisition and would allow the banking company to offer asset management, administration of retirement plans, and financial planning in addition to its current menu of insurance and trust services
