In Brief: Prism Financial Executive Killed in Boat Accident

CHICAGO - Clark Donley, president of Valley Financial Corp., a Prism Financial Corp. subsidiary, was killed in a boating accident on April 16.

Mr. Donley, 40, was the second high-level Prism executive to die recently. Bruce C. Abrams, the company's founder and chief executive, committed suicide in December.

Prism was the No. 20 retail mortgage lender last year, with $7.4 billion of volume, according to National Mortgage News. It bought Valley, an Alamo, Calif., mortgage bank and broker, last August.

Prism's stock plunged after Mr. Abrams' suicide. Last month Prism announced that it had agreed to sell itself to Royal Bank of Canada; the deal is expected to close in the next 45 to 75 days.
