In Brief: Scotiabank Site Gets Life-Event Format

TORONTO — Bank of Nova Scotia has introduced a Web site that organizes financial services by life events such as buying a home, setting up a small business, or retiring.

The bank worked with OnX Inc. of Toronto to create menus and services for the site.

“Our Web site is designed around events that Canadians indicated were important to them,” said Bob Grant, senior vice president of business-to-consumer products and services at e-Scotia, the bank’s Internet development group.

OnX was formed in 1983 to provide hardware, software, and integration services to businesses. In 1999 it posted revenues of $150 million.
