Proactive Inc., a compliance software firm in Duluth, Ga., is getting a marketing boost from a national bank training firm.

Bankers Training and Consulting Co. of St. Louis has agreed to market Proactive's Compliance Pro system. The product assesses a bank's compliance programs by asking its employees questions about what they do to comply with various regulations.

Sample questions include: "Does the (bank) provide the Truth-in-Savings disclosures as applicable, clearly and conspicuously in writing and in a form the consumer may keep?" and "Are banks presenting results of monitoring findings to senior management and the board of directors?"

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Proactive president Dale E. Johnson said it would raise his product's visibility because Bankers Training has more than 10,000 customers. Proactive currently has about 210 customers, according to Mr. Johnson.
