DUBLIN, Calif. - E-Loan Inc.'s shareholders have approved a private placement of $40 million with the investors Charles Schwab Corp., Abbey National PLC, FT Ventures, Benchmark Capital, and Technology Partners.
Schwab, Abbey National, and FT Ventures each invested $10 million; Benchmark Capital and Technology Partners, $5 million each. Last year E-Loan closed more than $1.5 billion of consumer loans.
