NEW YORK — TD Waterhouse Institutional Services announced Tuesday that it has started a partnership with American Funds to offer its financial advisers the F class shares from American Funds’ mutual fund family.

F class shares, designed for fee-based advisers, do not have front-end fees or contingent deferred sales charges.

TD Waterhouse Institutional Services, which is owned by Toronto-Dominion Bank, has more than 3,000 fee-based financial advisers.
