In Brief: TD Waterhouse Offers Small-Biz Tax Help

NEW YORK — TD Waterhouse Group Inc. has introduced a free online service to help small businesses get answers on federal tax matters related to retirement plans.

Small-business owners can access the program until Dec. 31 through banner ads on CNNfn.com, a leading financial news Web site. Their questions are routed to a Universal Pensions Inc. retirement plan consultant, who provides an e-mail response directly to the inquirer.

Kamoon Inc. is providing the technology to support the service. The year-old company is headquartered in Fort Lee, N.J., and Ramat Gan, Israel, where its patent-pending technology was developed.

“Kamoon’s technology allows us to reach small businesses efficiently and to connect them with pension plan experts to help them solve complex retirement issues online,” said Peter Mastrantuono, senior vice president of retirement marketing at TD Waterhouse, an affiliate of Toronto-Dominion Bank.
