NEW YORK - The nation's wealthiest technology professionals are keeping their own money in tech stocks, a recent survey by U.S. Trust of New York shows.
The survey found that they have nearly 60% of their portfolios in technology stocks - including their own companies. The U.S. Trust survey polled a sampling of technology professionals who are among the nation's wealthiest 1%, the firm said in a press release.
The firm surveyed professionals from across the technology sector, including hardware and software, the Internet, telecommunications and others.
The NASDAQ market - heavily weighted toward technology - plummeted 37% from its March 10 high while the survey was being conducted, said the release.
