In Brief: Trading in Bank for Doctors Is Halted

Trading was halted Friday in shares of Professional Bancorp, Santa Monica, Calif., because the bank had yet to file its annual report.

The $253 million-asset company, which caters to doctors, dentists, and other health-care professionals, had until March 31 to file the report, according to officials at the American Stock exchange, where the company's shares are traded. Professional said it is awaiting audited financial statements and expects to file the report this week. Trading may resume once American Stock Exchange officials have reviewed the filing.
