BERWYN, Pa. Turner Investment Partners has begun an alternative investment fund-of-funds unit.
The unit, Ascendant Capital Partners LLC, is intended to develop and manage alternative investment products through multiple distribution channels.
Turner Investment Partners manages $10 billion of assets for institutions and individuals in equity and fixed-income products, including 20 mutual fund portfolios for individual investors.
Ascendants founding was announced Thursday.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
