In Brief: UBS Warburg Hires J.P. Morgan Chase Exec

NEW YORK — UBS Warburg has hired William A. Eagan 3d as a managing director in its U.S. financial institutions investment banking group, the company said Tuesday.

Mr. Eagan will focus on depository institutions, including multinational and superregional banking companies, and will report to Simon K. Adamiyatt, who heads the financial institutions group in the United States.

Mr. Eagan joins UBS from J.P. Morgan Chase, where he led the North American depository institutions investment banking group. Before that he was co-chief of Lehman Brothers’ depository institutions practice.

Last week UBS Warburg hired Brian M. Webber, head of information technology and outsourcing in the technology investment banking group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, which was bought by Credit Suisse First Boston in October. Mr. Webber will lead U.S. information technology and outsourcing services for the Americas and report to Jim Feuille, UBS Warburg’s head of global technology investment banking.
