In Brief: Upgrade for Internet Corporate Card System

ProCard Inc., a vendor of Internet-based commercial card systems, has introduced an enhancement to its flagship product, PVS Net Version 3.

Version 3 lets ProCard clients put more of their purchasing and travel expenditures on credit cards with no loss of control, the company said.

PVS Net, launched in 1997, gives clients the ability to monitor, manage, and administer their purchasing and travel card programs through the Internet. Version 2, which became available in May, introduced an automation tool, in which the software determined how a credit card transaction should be allocated based on the expense type.

Version 3 adds "advanced functionality that will set the standard for transaction services offered over the Internet," according to ProCard.

"Web-based business applications are the cornerstone of our corporate vision," said D. Dale Browning, ProCard chief executive officer. "PVS Net sets the stage for ProCard's role in the e-commerce world, but it is only the first step."
