In Brief: U.S. Bancorp Arm Picks Investment Head

MINNEAPOLIS - U.S. Bancorp's investment management arm on Monday named Jean L.P. Brunel chief investment officer of its high-net-worth group.

Mr. Brunel, 50, will step into a newly created position at First American Asset Management.

Mr. Brunel, a chartered financial analyst, had been a consultant for First American and U.S Bancorp for the past two years. He was chief investment officer of J.P. Morgan & Co.'s private global bank from 1976 until he retired in December 1998.
