In Brief: Visa Hooks Netfish For B-to-B Projects

SAN FRANCISCO - Visa International said it has formed an alliance with Netfish Technologies to integrate standards for Web business-to-business transactions.

The companies said they will focus initially on the handling of invoice and payment data. Netfish will use Visa's XML specification for its b-to-b software products and said it will provide support for Visa's global invoice specification.

Alistair Duncan, vice president of commercial card information processing at Visa, said Netfish technology "enables highly automated end-to-end e-business and e-commerce process integration with trading partners," and that the alliance will let Visa member banks "more quickly and efficiently integrate disparate legacy and enterprise systems."
