In Brief: Wells in $10B SEC Securities Shelf Filing

Wells Fargo & Co. last week filed a shelf registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission for up to $10 billion worth of securities.

The registration allows for sales of bonds, preferred stock, depositary shares, and securities warrants.

Use of the proceeds from the potential sales would include investments in existing and future subsidiaries and repayment of short-term and long- term debt, according to the filing.
