In Briefs: Head of Visa's E-Commerce Unit Resigns

recently took charge of the new eVisa electronic commerce division, has resigned and is to become chief operating officer of PlanetRx.com, an Internet drugstore.

William Stewart, an executive vice president who has announced he plans to retire at yearend, will head eVisa while a search is conducted outside the company for a permanent successor to Mr. Beindorff.

When Mr. Beindorff moved to eVisa, his responsibilities at Visa U.S.A. were assigned to Rebecca Saeger, executive vice president of advertising and marketing, and Tony McEwen, executive vice president for deposit and cash access products. Both report to Carl F. Pascarella, Visa U.S.A.'s president and chief executive officer.
